FAMILY GROUP 12

INTRODUCING: GUARDIAN PANINAH AND KIMANZI

THEIR STORY

Kimanzi joined our LFK family in the beginning, 2006. We met this family while walking through the neighborhood one day.

Kimanzi is now 22 years old, we've watched him grow up from a small boy to the adult he is today. His mother died from pnemonia in 2002, she was not married and Kimanzi never knew his father. Paninah is Kimanzi's grandmother and took him in after her daughter passed away.

This past year Kimanzi graduated from Polytechnical school with a degree in mechanics. He enjoyed it so much that he wants to return this year and get a second degree. As a graduation gift we threw him a party and gave him a brand new suit.

In their household there are 12 people including Paninah, her husband, and 9 other grandkids. Her husband recently had a stroke and she struggles to take care of everyone. There are multiple structures on the property, but many need repairs to the roofs, windows and doors. They also have no door on their kitchen.

Paninah is a huge light in the community and one of the most giving woman we have met. She loves her family and is so appreciative of what LFK is doing to help them.
