THEIR STORY

Mutethya joined our LFK family in 2008. We met this family while walking through the neighborhood one day.

​

Mutethya is 15 years old. Her mother died from tuberculosis in 2004, she was not married and Mutethya never knew her father. Alice is Mutethya's grandmother and took her in after her daughter passed away.

​

In their household there are 7 people including Alice, her Daughter, Son, and 3 other grandkids. Alice suffers physically from old age and a goiter in her neck. We often tend to her medical needs by bringing her to see a doctor in the nearby city. There are 3 structures on the property. Alice and Mutethya share 1 bed. Their biggest need is to repair the roof.
