THEIR STORY

Ian joined our LFK family in 2010. Zakayo sought out Jemimah and told her about Ian.

​

Ian lives with Zakayo, his grandfather, and his grandmother, Sara Mbuvi. His mother passed away in 2006 from pneumonia. His mother was not married and he never knew his father. Ian is an exceptional student and well loved by his grandparents. He does extremely well in school, speaks fluent English, and hopes to accomplish big things academically.

There are multiple structures in their household and it is well taken care of. The family works hard to keep clean and organized what they have. Their biggest struggle is keeping up with school fees for Ian and the other grandkids.There are 12 people living in the household including 4 adults and 8 grandkids.
