FAMILY GROUP 32

INTRODUCING: GUARDIAN SUSAN ETOLA AND MUNANIE MUSYIMI

THEIR STORY

Munanie joined our LFK family in the beginning. Jemimah was walking through the neighborhood and came upon this family.

Munanie lived with her grandmother, Susan. Her mother passed away in 1989 from high blood pressure and her father died in 2003 leaving Fridah and her two older sisters. The sisters are married and both live in Nairobi with their families. Susan, recently passed away and now Munanie is living on her own.

Munanie is a bright girl who just finished high school and is looking to study at a Polytechnical school to receive her certificate. She is currently taking a computer class for two weeks. Susan, her guardian, really struggles. She is losing her sight in one eye and is unable to provide for Munanie. Unfortunately, She is also struggling mentally.

There are five people that  live in one structure divided into two rooms. Susan sleeps on one side and the 4 on the other. They have no beds and a mattress that is falling apart. They also do not have any indoor kitchen. This is home is one that needs our attention.
