THEIR STORY

​

Mutheu joined our LFK family in 2014. We heard about this family through her school. She was recommended to us from the teachers.

​

Mutheu is cared for by her aunt, Felistus. Her mother passed away in 2007 from malaria and her father died in 2012 from liver failure. Felistu's brother was Mutheu's father and she took in Mutheu after he passed. 

​

The two of them live in one structure and are joined by another granddaughter who is mentally ill. Because they have such a small income, Felistus struggles to provide for these kids. The roof on their home is caving in and there is a large crack in the wall of their home. LFK is hoping to help with this in the future.
