THEIR STORY
Mary joined our LFK family in 2008 and Agnes joined in 2014. We heard about this family through their school.
Mary's mother passed in 1997 from pneumonia. Her mother was not married and she never knew her father. Agnes and Mary are cousins. Agnes's mother is still alive but is mentally unstable. Sadly, at the moment, they don't know where she is. Agnes does not know her father. The girls were taken in by their loving grandparents, Patrick and Mutongoi.
In their household there are 6 people. The girls are joined by two other grandkids. They all live in one makeshift structure. This family definitely has a need for a better home. Their biggest need is providing for the kids. The grandparents are old, unable to work and rely solely on help from Love for Kitui.
